Our One Year Anniversary // Small Business Saturday

It's been one year since we opened our doors. Help us celebrate on November 26, also Small Business Saturday, from 10-6. Excelsior's Christkindlsmarkt will also be in full swing! We have teamed up with GOLDEN RULE to have various pop-ups with local artists to help you get started on your Christmas shopping. Outdoor Dinner

Fall is a magical time of year. The leaves turn bright colors, the sunshine becomes golden, and the crisp air drags you outside. It was a perfect time to have an outdoor dinner with our friends, GOLDEN RULE,  Solid Mfg Co. and Brightwater. We started with our outdoor cedar table. WOODLOT

It's time we talk about our beloved Vancouver line, Woodlot. This line, hand poured by couple Fouad and Sonia, features candles, soap bars, and mists. When Fouad moved to Canada from the Mediterranean coast, he noticed his skin reacting to the soap. After visiting his uncle and working with olive pressing, he began to make soaps for himself. When Woodlot was started, the couple wanted a line that used minimal ingredients to treat the outside of our bodies like the inside so they use petroleum-free coconut wax for their candles, and their soap bars use a combination of olive oil, avocado oil...

Maybe you saw her beautiful products during her pop-up in the shop back in June, but today we are going to meet Talin Spring, the artist behind SPRING FINN & CO.  Talin was born in Istanbul to a family of shoe makes and leather lovers. She was raised in a home where everything was hand made. Her mother and grandmother were both very skilled in embroidery, sewing, and knitting.  She spent most of her life in France until attending Columbia in NY for her graduate degree.
